Summer is here desserters and to prove it just head over to any of the Magnolia Bakery locations in the city and try their new summer menu items! When the heat is sizzling nothing tastes better than ice cream which is why Magnolia Bakery is introducing ice cream sandwiches in four different flavors; Lemon Bar, Blondie Bar, Brownie Bar, and Red Velvet Whoopie Pie! We enjoyed all of them but on a hot summer afternoon the Lemon Bar might just take the cake because it was so refreshing. Speaking of cake, make sure to try their two new cupcake flavors, Blueberry Lemon (July flavor) with a lemon buttercream glaze and Strawberry (June flavor) with strawberry whipped buttercream. If that simply isn’t enough, grab a banana pudding or coconut cream pie, a perfect treat to ring in the summer months! Magnolia Bakery’s pastry chef, Bonnie Lloyd, is a judge on TLC’s newest reality competition show The Next Great Baker.
