Barbuto, a Jonathan Waxman restaurant in the west village, has always been one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I had the pleasure of dining there the other night. This small pot of coconut pudding was covered in a dollop of fresh whipped cream and chocolate shavings. It was the perfect consistency, fluffy, and sweet! It was as if I was eating coconut cream pie without the pie crust. I loved the addition of chocolate shavings which added a little texture to the smooth pudding. A definite must try for any coconut lover.
