Del Frisco’s Steakhouse is like no other. Not only is the steak melt-in-your-mouth delicious, but their desserts will leave you in a state of ecstasy! This “little” platter was presented to me at the end of my meal and I thought I died and went to heaven. On it was their classic cheesecake, banana bread bread pudding, and chocolate mousse. The cheesecake at Del Frisco’s is simply divine. It was light and fluffy, almost whipped in texture, and drizzled with a sweet strawberry sauce. The graham cracker crust was the perfect base for the smooth cheesecake that was surrounded by fresh berries. Del Frisco’s has the best cheesecake in Manhattan in my opinion because it is not heavy and dense leaving you feeling like you just ate a brick for dessert. Next on the platter was the banana bread bread pudding topped with vanilla bean ice cream and covered in a caramel drizzle. The muffin like shape had a crunchy top but a perfect warm and moist center. The huge scoop of ice cream slowly melted into the top, but was enough to enjoy with every bite. It was warm, sweet, and gooey! Last but not least was the chocolate mousse. This simple classic dessert was perfect. Smooth in texture and rich in taste, it would have any chocolate lover screaming for more. I loved that it had an intense chocolate flavor without being overwhelming. I couldn’t have asked for a better third option to accompany the other two. It is quite an evening when dining at Del Frisco’s and you simply just have to experience it in order to understand.
