Pies are a year round treat but summer is the season for blueberry & rhubarb. Who doesn’t like a berry crumble? Well, Four & Twenty Blackbirds has married blueberries, rhubarb, and those delicious crumbles in to a pie. Hearty and thick, this pie almost tasted as if it was healthy for me. It wasn’t too sweet at all, making me think this might be a trick my mom played on me when I was little, “It’s a pie so she’ll never know it’s good for her.” That’s how fresh Four & twenty makes their pies. They also use the best sweet ingredientsthat you can put in to your body. Their crusts are always thick and you can count on the quality of any creation they decide to take a chance on. I highly suggest you take a trip to Brooklyn for their now famous pies.
