Gramercy Tavern is a legendary restaurant in NYC that has proven to last the test of time. After an incredible dinner we could not wait to get our hands on a dessert menu. It just so happened that the table next to us had just had desserts delivered so when we caught sight of the berry crisp we knew exactly what to order. The individual pot was filled with hot berries in a sugary sauce. The topping were small balls of crescent like dough that were fluffy, chewy, warm, and melted in your mouth. These dough drops were unlike anything we have ever tasted in a dessert. Far better than any typical crust on a pie or crisp. Served on the side was a scoop of vanilla ice cream which was the perfect compliment to the main treat. This dessert is on the Tavern dessert menu not the main dining room dessert menu. We highly recommend this being a perfect dessert to celebrate the beginning of fall!
